This program is all about exploring one of the most vital element of our lives: The quality of our relationships, starting with the one we have with ourselves. By the end of this 6-week program you will have the tools to empower you to have a happy, enduring connection with yourself and your partner. Overview of each week: Week 1: Introduction to the ADHD Effect on Relationships - Common patterns in relationships distorted by ADHD symptoms - The 6 steps to rebuilding relationships - Practicing mindfulness and empathy in relationships Week 2: Managing the Powerful Emotions of ADHD in Relationships - Understanding why ADHDers get overwhelmed - DBT skills to regulate emotions and behavior Week 3: Organized, Purposeful Communication in Relationships - Semi-structured writing to prepare the ADHDer for communication - Making your voice impactful Week 4: Re-establish Boundaries in ADHD-Affected Relationships - Understaning why ADHDers have a hard time with boundaries. - How to say no to others and say yes to yourself Week 5: Stay on Track During Disagreements using Productive, Empowering Communication - Fighting fair - Using LEAP to stay on track during disagreements Week 6: Bringing Novelty, Fun, and Romance Into Your Relationships - Moving from victim role to an empowered role. - Strengthening relationships with novelty and fun
